With a “coastal race”, was held the official start of the regatta Kaufland in Romania …….

In the first race day of the Romanian Kaufland Regatta, part of the Alpha Bank Romania Cup, 3rd stage for the ORC & IRC classes, was held a coastal race with a starting time of 11:00 am, as planned by the Race Office. In the regatta, 49 yachts and 362 representatives from both countries – Romania and Bulgaria – were launched. The race as a whole was very tense because of the variable wind that until last held competitors at hand – distance. Leaders in the fast boat class overcame the distance for about 3 hours 30 minutes and formed as follows:

The Espresso Martini yacht with the skipper Pavlin Nadvorni, SA Cor Caroli, took the 22nd position in the standings. Today, the latest races are inshore and will be held in front of Mangalia starting at 11 am. In the later hours of the day, the regatta will end with the winners’ awarding. Regatta Kaufland is held on 26-28 July in LifeHarbour Marina Limanu – Mangalia, Romania, which is part of the Alpha Bank Romania Cup, 3rd stage for the ORC & IRC classes. Its organizers are Marina Limanu and As. Nautic Yachting Club.
