The 40th edition of this year’s Rolex Middle Sea Race will begin on October 19, 2019. The notice of race is online and entries are open. Last year, the organizers, the Royal Malta Yacht Club (RMYC) celebrated the 50th anniversary of the founding of this extraordinary race with a record fleet of 130 yachts.
So far, about 80 yachts from 17 countries – Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and USA have already registered for participation. Rolex Middle Sea Race will once again bring together professional and Corinthian, local and international, first-rate and serial participants. For now, the biggest participant is Farfalla, 31.78m Southern Winds, just a few meters shorter than the largest so far: the 35m Nikita, which competed last year. At present, the smallest participant in length is the Swedish yacht, Blur, only 11 meters.The Rolex Middle Sea Race will begin on Saturday, October 19, 2019, and the final awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Entry Registration closes on Friday, September 27th.
