With the coronavirus calm in the sporting life, some sailing news has emerged today:
At the initiative of Alejandro Cabrera, our friends and partners in the project “Sailing on Three Seas”, an online regatta “Memories S3S” was organized.
We’ll turn the bar back a little bit for our recent followers. In 2018, the Sailing on Three Seas project, between countries: Spain, Bulgaria, and Greece, was launched, which aimed to train children from the 3 countries to sail in different and rapidly changing waters. Our media was a partner in the project “Sailing on Three Seas”.
Earlier today the first day of the regatta was held, in which children from the three countries of the project – Spain, Bulgaria, and Greece – participated. Regatta training began on Wednesday. Here are the results after the first day:
At that moment, Hristo Mladenov is in 5th place, followed by his teammate Vasil Manev, who is 6th. The other participants are as follows:
8. Nikola Georgiev
20. Kalin Georgiev
26. Peter Kosturkov
32. Radina Kirova
35. Radoslav Gavrailov
40. Rosen Mateev
43. Borislav Nikolov
The races are held from 18 p.m, Bulgarian and Greek time (16 p.m Spanish times). The platform of which is taking place the virtual regatta is offered on the World Sailing site, Virtual Regatta Inshore, and communication between competitors takes place in the What’s app. The training sessions were joint, but the regatta itself is held in two groups due to a large number of competitors. 22 representatives from Bulgaria, 13 from Spain and 9 from Greece participated in the regatta.
