12 sports clubs announced their participation for the title “Sailing Champion for similar boats in Bulgaria” …

In the period 11th to 13th June, Varna will join the big family of the Sailing Champions League. Globally, this is an initiative of ISLA (INTERNATIONAL SAILING LEAGUE ASSOCIATION), aimed at promoting, developing and succeeding sailing as a national league.
The format includes 20 participating countries, 300 clubs, over 3,000 sailors and more than 100 competitions held in Europe in 2020. Along with Bulgaria, part of the league are countries such as the United States, Switzerland, Britain, Russia, Belgium, Finland and others. The organizer of the prestigious competition in Bulgaria is BORA Sailing, in partnership with LZ Yachting 1991 and SC Ultramarine. The audience will be able to watch the competition from the recreation area of the Sea Station-Varna throughout the next weekend. The competition is extremely contested and attractive for both participation and observation. Sailors will compete with the same type of boats in two racing days with expectations for more than 20 match races. The interesting thing about this type of racing is that unlike large regattas with keel yachts, where the odds are taken into account and the difference in the yachts inevitably affects the result, here the crews change the boat of each race, which turns the final ranking into a result, taking into account their sports skills. The competition will be clubs against clubs – Fleet race with 4 identical boats SB20. The winner of BORA Sailing Championship 11-13 June Varna’2021, will win participation in the EUROSAF Club Sailing Championship 2021, which will be held on 26-29.08.2021 in Vienna (Austria). The organizers are planning two more events, namely a competition in the period 11.09 – 12.09 in Pomorie and another one in Iskar Dam in October. The winners of the three events this year will decide which two CLUBS will go to the Sailing Champions League (SCL) qualifiers in 2022.
