New Bulgarian participation in the Ostar 2020 regatta is set on the horizon …

The oldest and most difficult non-professional transatlantic regatta is the OSTAR (Original Single-handed Trans Atlantic Race). It is held under the auspices of the Royal West Yacht Club every 4 years. The start is May 10, 2020. from Plymouth, South West England, and the finish line is Newport, Rhode Island, USA. 3000 nautical miles (5500 km) sailing on the Titanic Road in cold, foggy and counter-weather, close to the iceberg belt, crossing the Gulf Stream, the banks of the Big Banks, where the perfect storm of the eponymous movie broke out. Extreme Match Race in Limanu ended with a lot of tension in the final competitions and medals for Poland, Croatia and Bulgaria ……..

The extremely  intense final day of the "King of the Castle" races in Extreme Match Race format. The race start was set for 9:30 a.m, but the start was played at around 10 a.m. Another 10 competitions for the individual teams identified the contenders for the semifinals and finals, which took place between Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia. Team Ultramarine SCV from Bulgaria participates in the Extreme Match Race in Limanu, Romania with 2 teams. The contender for the top three - the team Ultramarine 1 is composed of: skipper Yavor Kolev, pitman Yasen Kachinski, and bowman Olga Alexandrova. The second team is led by Boris Antonov, whose participation as skipper in this format is his debut, pitman is Nikolay Pashov and bowman is Raina Serafimova. In the last two days, they participated in the qualification phase of the tournament together with 10 other teams from Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Croatia with representatives from Austria, Italy, Belgium, and Denmark. For someone first, for others in a row, Team Raffica of Hungary is back in the regatta RMSR row from board the R'92 Pendragon. ….

Extremely enjoyable entry from the Hungarian team Raffica, which this year joined the Rolex regatta with yacht R'92 Pendragon. Our first encounter with the yacht was on the Coastal race itself when I called out about the Pendragon legend, reading their name. And just as interesting is their story as their name itself. We contacted their manager, Zoltan Bencze, who told us very comprehensively on behalf of Zsolt Kiraly, for which we are very grateful.
